What we take on
The four areas below are four things we do every day on our own products. Nothing here is taken on and then subcontracted out.
Custom software
We start by reading the process as it runs today: who touches what, which step blocks the next one. Then we model the domain, settle the contracts between modules, and build on a layered architecture that stays readable as the system grows. Every project ships with documentation a new engineer can start from.
- Discovery workshop and technical scoping
- Domain modelling and API contract design
- Backends in .NET, Node.js and Python
- AI and RAG features running on your own data
- Handover documentation and knowledge transfer
Web and mobile
Interfaces that load fast, stay smooth on a mid-range phone, and work with a screen reader. React, Next.js, Astro or Lit on the web; Capacitor or a native shell on mobile. The choice follows the product, not the team's habit.
- React, Next.js, Astro, Web Components
- Design systems and reusable component libraries
- Layouts down to 360px
- Accessibility and Core Web Vitals as acceptance criteria
- Progressive web apps and mobile builds
Cloud and DevOps
We run the same kind of infrastructure we build for clients: containerised services behind nginx, certificates that renew on their own, deployments that can be repeated, monitoring that tells us before a user does.
- Docker and container orchestration
- nginx reverse proxy, TLS, zero-downtime deploys
- CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure hardening and secret management
- Logs, metrics and uptime monitoring
QA and testing
Tests are written alongside the feature rather than piled up at the end. We keep the suite fast enough to run on every commit, and we read the code by hand for the bugs static analysis does not see.
- Unit, integration and end-to-end tests
- Automated regression runs in CI
- Security review and dependency audit
- Load and performance testing
- Release checklist and rollback plan
